The Board of Directors brings mission-based leadership to strengthen commercial fishing in the Prince William Sound region and provides strategic governance in accordance with organizational bylaws.
Member-ballot election will be held via email September 1-30, 2025.
New board members will be seated at the first meeting in October.

Nomination information
We are actively seeking nominations for board leadership in the following seats on the 2025 CDFU ballot:
Setnet seat
Groundfish/Shellfish seat
Gillnet seat
Seine seat
2 General seats
Eligible candidates:
Only those with current CDFU membership may nominate a fisherman (yes, you can nominate yourself!)
Nominees for non-general seats must hold an applicable active permit.
Nominees must hold current CDFU membership before being added to official ballots.
Quick info:
Board meetings are held monthly, October-May. We do not hold regular meetings in the summer.
Board members can attend meetings in person in CDFU’s Cordova office, or via video conference.
Seat terms are 2 years. Seats on the 2025 ballot serve from when confirmed by the board in the fall through 2027.
Board members serve to carry out a strategic plan and act in compliance with CDFU organizational bylaws, articles, protocols, policies and procedures.
