Buoys and stakes are put in place each spring in the Strawberry and Racetrack channels to allow for safe passage to the flats. Originally funded by the State of Alaska, CDFU Gillnet supported the program for 30 years. This program is now led by Copper River/Prince William Sound Marketing Association, and executed by Dave Branshaw. It is funded through the CRPWSMA, donations from the fleet through CDFU, and generous contributions. New this year is an app!
